I saved this shot for last in my "Best of 2008" series...I figured it appropriate to have the setting sun as the last photo in the series.
I took this shot on a trip up to Liebre Mountain off of Hwy. 138. My brother-in-law and I took my son for a drive and we ended up there. It was a beautiful sunset that evening, as you can see. It's rare to see something this spectacular in Southern California as we rarely have clouds like this, especially as the sun is setting. I took this with my Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM in order to keep a tighter frame on the tree rising from the valley. Plus, that's the lens I had on the camera....
